Salt Lake Design Week 2014
Wayfinding / Environmental Design
I was challenged to come up with a way to create a wayfinding system from the Rio Grande to the MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) in downtown Salt Lake City. Spanning one-mile, creating a way finding system that long was scary to think about. Designing something 3-D and having to incorporating my previous design skills was a challenge. I am so grateful to have taken this challenge on. I learned how to print on large format printers but mostly it was my first project creating templates. Using materials that I wouldn't normally use and making me think 3-D has made my packaging excel.
Was an opportunity to work with other designers and in a group project. In my Environmental Graphics class, my most memorable design teacher proposed to our class opportunity to be apart of this awesome event. I pounced on the chance and was one of my more memorable experiences in the design program.
